BookPress is software that hosting providers run on their own
infrastructure: a native implementation of WordPress core that serves existing
sites with the same themes, the same /wp-admin and the same URLs.
We sell to the host, so if you manage client sites and want them faster, your
host is the one to ask.
What to ask them
Ask whether they will run BookPress for your clients' WordPress sites,
shops and page-builder sites included. Two measured figures matter to them. On real
store pages the same server serves about 4.5 times the requests per
second (Intel) to over 5 times (ARM), and a site releases to about
0.3 GB of memory when idle against a WordPress pool's 0.43 to
1.8 GB. For you, nothing about your work changes. Same themes, same
/wp-admin, same URLs, same content.
Two questions worth asking alongside it. Which of my plugins are supported? BookPress certifies every plugin before it runs and names the ones it cannot, so this has a real answer rather than a shrug. And how do we go back? The answer should be that BookPress exports a MySQL dump WordPress loads as-is, so a site can return to a PHP stack whenever you want, with tooling you already have.
If it helps, send them the page written for them, or send them the demo: the live demo is a real WordPress site on this engine, running on a machine that costs about four dollars a month, with your own login shown when you start your sandbox. It is a shorter argument than any page we could write.
Can you run BookPress yourself?
If your client sites sit on servers you control (a VPS, a dedicated box, your own cloud instances) where you can run a Linux binary (x86-64 or arm64), you license BookPress directly and run it yourself: Starter or Studio, by the site, from the first one. Past a few hundred sites the per-vCPU tier is cheaper.
If your sites are on shared or SFTP-only hosting, where you cannot run a binary, BookPress has to run at the host rather than in your account. Tell us who hosts you and we will talk to them.
