Terms of the licence

These are the terms for a BookPress licence bought at account.bookpress.io. They are short because the product is in early access and the offer is simple: one site, one month, one dollar.

The seller is Jonathan Hale, contactable at hello@bookpress.io. See the imprint.

What you buy

A licence is a signed file that names a plan, a number of sites and a term. You place it on your server where BookPress reads it. The one-site licence covers one site for 30 days. A licence does not include support, a service level or a promise that a given theme or plugin works; the early access page lists what does not work yet at the current release.

What you pay

The advertised amount is the charged amount. Amounts are net; VAT is added where it applies. Payment is taken by Stripe when you buy and again at each renewal until you cancel. Nothing upgrades by itself.

No refunds

Payments are not refunded. A licence file, once issued, is a signed document on your machine that we cannot recall, so a payment cannot be undone after the file exists. This applies to the first payment and to every renewal. If you are not sure BookPress suits your site, the public demonstration is free and the way back to WordPress is one command.

How a licence ends

Cancel at any time by writing to hello@bookpress.io from the address you bought with; cancelling stops the next charge and the licence runs to the end of the period already paid. When the term ends, the site keeps serving its visitors; the licence no longer entitles you to feature updates or to wp-admin for that site. Security updates continue.

Changes

Prices and these terms can change. A change applies from the next renewal, never to a period already paid.
